Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus

One of the most popular phones in 2011 was the Galaxy Ace from Samsung. It’s a budget model that proved quite popular with people that didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a contract or on a new phone. The Galaxy Ace Plus is the upgrade to that model, coming with processor which runs at 1GHz, a 3.65 inch screen with a resolution of 320×480, a LED flash 5MP camera and a case that has been a bit redesigned. The OS will be the same Android 2.3 unfortunately, with the TouchWiz skin from Samsung. The first country where it will be released will be Russia, after which it will be released in Europe, Latin America, Asia, Middle East, Africa and China.

Motorola RAZR Gets Update in Europe

The Motorola RAZR is getting a software update these days and it’s out for all the Android phones from this series that have been sold in Europe. It’s not a huge update, but a few of the improvements are pretty good, especially those made to the camera app and the tweaks that were made. Evernote comes preloaded with this software update, which might seem a strange thing to do for a phone that is already out. If you’re interested in the exact changes brought by this update you can find them here.

HTC Flyer Just £199 at Dixons

Dixons is offering the HTC Flyer tablet at a very reduced price of just £199.97. The discount is considerable for this model which comes with a sensitive stylus. It’s not a 3G model and it does come with the 2.3 version of Android on it, but you should be able to do the update to Android 3.2 soon enough, so that’s not a major problem.

As for the other specs of the HTC Flyer, it’s a 7 inch tablet, with a 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm, two cameras, a resolution of 1024×600, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi.

Acer Iconia A200 Comes to UK

The Acer Iconia A200 has just made its first appearance in the UK. This recently launched tablet comes in black and red colors and it’s priced at £299 on Very.co.uk. The Iconia A200 has Android 3.2 Honeycomb as its OS, a screen of 10.1 inches, a chipset based on Nvidia Tegra 2, a 2MP camera and 8GB of storage. The specs are completed by the 1GB of RAM. Doesn’t really sound like an earth shattering device, but it will do, especially since Acer promises that the tablet will be updated to Android 4.0 ICS in the future. The fact that it comes with a microSDHC slot and a USB port that is full-sized is also an advantage. The estimated shipment date is January 6th.
